Losing a Dog - When or If to Replace Them

All of our puppies are micro-chipped and come with a lifetime genetic health guarantee

Having a dog die can be an emotionally devastating experience.  We often become very close with our canine friends, considering them as part of our family.  A question many people ask themselves after the loss of a pet is whether or not to replace the one lost with a new dog.  This is a question where the answer varies from person to person.  Some couldn't fathom getting a new dog, others know they want another one but are unsure about when.

If you do decide that you would like a new puppy there are a few things to keep in mind.  The first and most important thing is not to rush into adopting a new dog.  Take your time and grieve the loss of your former dog.  If you don't, it could be an unfair environment for you and your new dogpuppy.  The next step is to take your time in selecting your new puppy before purchasing or

adopting it.  A good idea is to look into a new breed so your new puppy doesn't remind you of your poorly deceased dog and regularly break your heart.  Also, don't expect your new puppy to act exactly like, or completely opposite of your former dog.  Dogs are like people - some will be similar, others will be different. Your new puppy will have a unique personality that you will have to adapt to.

A good suggestion on a breed is of course the Goldendoodle.  The popularity of these dogs is on the rise and we think it will be easy for you to see why.  They are extremely lovable, very good family dogs and may be just what you are looking for.  They are smart and easy on those with allergies as well.  Check in with us often to find our latest Goldendoodle puppies for sale.
